Industry leaders appointed to Advisory Panel
DEScycle (or “the Company”), the clean technology company developing revolutionary chemistry to disrupt the e-waste metal recycling sector, is delighted to announce the appointment of several senior members to its newly established Advisory Panel (“Panel”).
The Panel, which is made up of industry leaders, will work closely with the Company’s board and management teams as we transition from lab-based R&D/small scale pilot to large scale piloting and commercialisation, providing a variety of skills and thought leadership across essential workstreams, including market access, technology development, capital introductions and corporate governance and sustainability.
Panel Members
Mark Cutifani
Mark is a senior executive in the minerals industry and current chair of the Board at Vale Base Metals. Originally a mining engineer, Mark has almost 50 years of engineering and corporate experience and is the former chief executive of mining group Anglo American plc and South African gold mining company AngloGold Ashanti.
Mark is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and is involved with numerous NGOs covering global nutrition for women and children, ethical and sustainable business practices, and development of young and emerging business executives.
Ruth Kelly
Ruth is a former Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolton West. She served as the Secretary of State for Transport, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Minister for Women and Equality and Secretary of State for Education and Skills, serving under both Gordon Brown and Tony Blair.
Post her career as an MP, Ruth has held several high-profile roles, including Global Head of Client Strategy at HSBC and Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise at St Mary's University. Ruth is currently Chair of Water UK, Chair of Thames Freeport, a Director of Heathrow Airport and on the Board of the Vatican’s Council for the Economy.
Tony O'Neill
Tony is a mining engineer with a strong background in driving innovation spanning over 40 years. Tony was until recently a Board member and Group Technical Director at Anglo American until his retirement in 2023.
At Anglo American, Tony was instrumental in the development and implementation of new processes and has held several senior technical and executive roles in the mining industry.
Nicola Piell-Moelter
Nicola is a senior executive in the tech industry with a focus on sustainability and innovation. Nicola is Director of Sustainability Innovation at VMware, a US cloud computing and virtualization technology company and has over 25-years of experience.
Prior to VMware, Nicola worked at Akamai Technologies in various positions including senior product manager, principal solutions engineer and senior director of environmental sustainability. Nicola has a PhD in environmental engineering science (Caltech) and a degree in chemical engineering/computer science degree (Manhattan College).
